22 Jump Street tops UK box office
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill's movie 22 Jump Street has topped the UK box office.
The follow up to 2012 hit 21 Jump Street took in a hefty £4.85 million in the UK and Ireland at the weekend.
The comedy, which sees officers Jenko (Tatum) and Schmidt (Hill) go deep undercover at a college, overtook a host of big movies including Angelina Jolie's Maleficent, Tom Cruise's Edge Of Tomorrow and X-Men: Days Of Future Past to get to the top spot.
The film, which opens in America later this month, also secured the highest opening weekend for a comedy in 2014 so far.
Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley's new movie The Fault In Our Stars was triumphant at the US box office.
The romance about two teenagers with cancer - based on the best-selling book by author John Green - made a 48.2 million dollar (£28.6 million) debut, beating Cruise's action film, which took in 29.1 million dollars (£17.3 million).
Maleficent slid to second place in its second week, with 33.5 million dollars (£19.9 million).
The Disney fairytale was previously top of the UK box office, after making £6.6 million in its first five days of release.
